In this story, Gavin D'Amato shares his experience with a bad relationship that began 18 years ago when Oliver Rose, a Harvard Law School student, met Barbara Rose at an auction in Nantucket County, Massachusetts. Oliver and Barbara moved into a small home in Washington, D.C., or the District of Columbia, "Taxation without Representation," the United States capital. Oliver grew up with his two children, becoming extra fat, and they decided to move. A few more years later, Oliver met Barbara again, making a better life together.

However, a heated situation arose between Oliver and Barbara, leading to a heart attack. Oliver met Gavin at the hospital, and they went on an Amtrak train back to DC. Oliver and Barbara then filed for divorce, but both couldn't handle the relationship. Oliver met Gavin to decide who would own the house during the divorce, and Gavin agreed. The children went to college and applied to Harvard.

During Christmas time, the family decorated a Christmas tree, but the children were seen doing a wired act in the car, causing the tree to be ruined. Barbara sought advice from Gavin, who suggested removing Oliver from the house. Oliver agreed, and the children wanted a new home. However, Oliver's car was crushed and killed by a pet dog, and Barbara tried to remove him from the house.

Oliver and Barbara went through a heated divorce due to domestic violence. Oliver looked at everything in the house from the entrance, and Barbara was still hiding until Oliver found her and turned violent. They had dinner together, but Oliver started a heated fight with Barbara. Oliver slammed a piece of wood into her face, and Barbara jumped into a chandelier. Oliver and Barbara were stuck to the chandelier until the wires were snapped by pins. Gavin and the women rushed to help and breached the door, leaving Oliver and Barbara unconscious and falling to death.

In the end, Gavin told his client to teach him a lesson and give him two options to settle the divorce and never have a romantic relationship again.
