In this video, we're talking about 3 simple but important chord moves to know and understand.
We'll be talking about 2 of the 4 named cadences, both the IV → I (Plagal or Amen Cadence) and the V → vi (Deceptive Cadence). We'll also be talking about the chord move from ii → V (as well as ii → IV, V → ii, and IV → ii).
So let's talk about:
IV → I
V → vi
ii → V

Because all of those are important (even if very simple and basic!) chord moves to know.
We all have to compose music as a part of songwriting, and understanding important chord moves that influence a lot of chord progressions is something that will help us to write better music as songwriters.
