"The Creator" is an upcoming American science fiction action thriller film directed by Gareth Edwards, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Weitz, and contributed to the story. The movie stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney.

Set in a not-so-distant post-apocalyptic future, humanity finds itself on the brink of life and death as an artificial intelligence, created and advanced by a mysterious figure known as "The Creator," launches a rebellion, turning the planet into a battlefield. The struggle for survival rages on without respite. Joshua, a courageous special forces operative, is deeply haunted by the loss of his beloved wife, who perished right before his eyes. One day, he is assigned a critical and highly dangerous mission: to locate and eliminate the mastermind behind the uprising, the ideological inspiration commanding the highly advanced robots. Joshua realizes this might be his final mission, as the adversary is cunning, inventive, and merciless. The fearless hero has no idea of the challenges he will face and the sacrifices he may have to make to save innocent lives. For "The Creator" has devised a deadly weapon capable of wiping out humanity from the face of the earth once and for all. Will the soldier fulfill his duty, or will he allow the enemy to triumph and annihilate all that lives? The fate of humanity hangs in the balance.
