Hi, thanks for watching me play along to a drum less Lenny Kravitz track on my coffee house drum setup. Yep, all the drums you hear are mine, for better or worse :) No click track. No drums to play along with. No band members to look at. One take.

I know this is not how you're suppose to do it. You lay down drum tracks and then the rest of the band records their part. It's just me in the middle of a pandemic so this is all I got. But, let me tell you something, especially if you're a drummer: try this. It really tests your ability to memorize parts and highlights your mistakes and weaknesses. And adding video just exacerbates the issue.

However, listening to yourself over and over is a big deal. Sometimes painful but always helpful.

In the beginning I just wanted to post a few videos for an audition reel but after hearing what my iPhone produced I was really disappointed so I decided to buy some mics and a Zoom Livetrack-8 for better audio. DANG! This began my obsession with recording. As you can see AND hear I have a long way to go but it's really fun so if you have any constructive criticism or, fuck, any criticism, please leave a comment.
