Audrey Mika - Y U Gotta B Like That. An exclusive live performance for Vevo DSCVR, the channel for the best in new music.
Sometimes it's necessary to let go of something to make room for what you really love. When Audrey Mika abandoned her childhood dreams of a ballet career, she turned to making music for comfort during the emotional fallout. As if it was destiny, the soft-spoken kid from Oakland almost immediately earned mad love from online listeners. Maybe it was because people loved her ethereal covers of Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish hits. Maybe it was because she was so emotionally candid on camera, sharing her tears with her audience. Maybe it was because it was a thrill to watch a young artist embark on an ascent from the square one. Of course, it coulda been that big pink microphone. Multi-million views mean starpower no matter how you slice it. Now based in LA, the 19-year-old, who wrote and recorded her first two projects, ‘Are We There Yet’ and ‘Level Up,’ is poised to make the next big leap. In between tour stops, promoting the new ‘5 A.M.’ EP, Audrey answered the call of the DSCVR stamp of approval. Check out “Y U Gotta B Like That” - and get to know this pop star-in-the-making before everyone else does.
