Bissara is a Moroccan food prepared by boiling beans and garlic to make a thick soup. An American in Morocco prepares Moroccan soup and gives it to his friends for a Moroccan food reaction. Andreja prepares feta cheese focaccia with a secret recipe of garlic, herbs, and delicious dough. In the end, I believe my version was similar to the Moroccan street food we had experienced in Essaouira and Aourir. I looked for influence in this recipe from @cookingwithalia Kitchen and @cookingwithalia , two great youtubers with tasty bissara recipes. I guess my next challenge will be to prepare some harira, another Moroccan soup. Thanks Bohemian Kitchen for the introduction of tumeric in addition to the cumin of traditional bissara. WE used what I believe to be fava beans, but may have been green split peas, or something like that. The best bissara is in Chefchoaun so they say. We will have to take a trip toward Tangier to find out. Here in Agadir, homemade just may be the next best thing. It was too wet and rainy for any bushcraft cooking today. Bissara is a great vegetarian soup option for any cold day!

In the end Jamaica and Lenny Kravitz try the bissara and give it a stamp of approval.
