In this video I demonstrate how to play the song Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue. I cover all parts including the piano part (for guitar) and the guitar solo. The solo in this song is tricky due to Mick's unusual timing and approach, so contained in this lesson is a close facsimile of what is heard on the record. It is hard to duplicate Mick Marrs feel to a T, but I try to do it justice in this video and give you a launching point to get the accurate articulation and note selection for this guitar solo. Motley Crue were unstoppable in the late 80's, and Home Sweet Home was like a jet pack strapped to the back of the band, which helped launch them into super stardom. This song is a classic example of 80's metal and personifies to many levels what that era and generation of glam metal was about.
