Coming up the hard rock and glam metal bands that ruled MTV and the concert circuit in the 80s are well documented from Motley Crue to Def Leppard to Bon Jovi and Whitesnake but one band that was just as big in that moment but don't get the credit they deserve is Ratt. Today we have an interview with the lead singer Stephen Pearcy. Many forget Ratt and their 80s hard rock album Out of the Cellar sold 5 million copies and contained a true classic from the era the glam metal masterpiece: Round and Round. The 1984 rocker still rules today from Cobra Kai to Stranger Things!. Next, the singer tells us how the song came about and how he and the guitarist threw live rodents at 80s model Tawney Kitaen for an album cover shoot during that time, and how they got legendary comedian Milton Berle to dress up like a woman for free in their iconic music video for Round and round and how a Geico commercial just sent the band back into the charts again in 2022!. I’m excited to bring you another episode from our series Revelations- where featured artists go deep on their greatest songs and albums. Today we travel back to the good old year of 1984 when a hard rock band called Ratt sold 5 million copies of their classic album Out of the Celler with an exclusive interview with lead singer and songwriter Stephen Pearcy. Ya know it seems like history has been somewhat revised when it comes to hard rock and so-called glam metal from the early to late 80s. Everyone knows the stories of Def Leppard and Bon Jovi and Whitesnake and Motley Crue but some have forgotten that Ratt was just as big in the year 1984 when Out of the Cellar raced up the charts, broke boundaries, and sold over 5 million copies. With the classic #12 hit Round and Round this band was everywhere that year and beyond. In fact, their first five albums went platinum one of only a few bands from that era to accomplish that. In fact, Round and Round just went back in the charts due to its use in a recent Geico ad.

Up next Stephen gives us the inside scoop about throwing live ratt and model Tawny Kitane and why the band is bigger than ever. Now as we get into this interview I want to thank our sponsor Zenni Eyewear. Look with spring around the corner you’re going to need some sunglasses.
