Here at Shut Up and Play, we find that sooooo many guitar, pedal, and amp videos on the web spend soooooo much time talking, and not enough playing...

Here... we wont waste your time telling stories, making jokes, or go into detail about the quality of the cardboard box a pedal comes in. We wont bore you telling you the treble control 'controls the high end of the signal'.... we know you know the basics, and DONT HAVE TIME TO WASTE learning the volume control turns the volume up or down.... And no bad Dad Jokes here either....

Then you find a video, and its someone jamming over some backing tracks with a weird mix which makes it kiiiiiiiiinda hard to even hear the tone fo the instrument you wanna hear..... When you wanna hear a piece of gear, do you really wanna hear someone jamming over tracks?? I just wanna hear the gear...RAW.

Or what about hearing something kinda outta context.... Like, what does that heavy metal guitar sound like thru a clean amp by itself, without all the flavors of heavy gain....

Our videos are like forwarding thru the first 13 minutes of a gear review video, we wont manipulate the narrative, bore you to sleep with some strange forced 'influencer persona', or give you our 2 cents... You wanna come to your own conclusions, we wanna help you do that.

mistakes???? sure.... were gonna make em. We arent pros... We are normal people, just like you... that sit around and noodle and have fun with our gear. Theres plenty of polished guitarrists out there that are amazing, but wheres the REAL people.... Hey, making mistakes is what real life is all about.

Do we have the best tone ever??? NOPE.... tone is wayyyyy too personal, so we record what makes us happy, and hopefully itll make you happy too!!! We like the tones... or maybe we dont... either way, we'll never tell you...
