There might be a Slash solo in this great song, but the real star is the bass line. I love the way it alternates between real simple and tight, and little runs full of flair.
It's a great exercise for muting notes with the plucking hand as the silences are just as important as the notes played.
I also love how the bass builds it back up before each of the three verses.
I played this cover on my 2019 USA G&L L2000 bass in passive and series modes with both pickups engaged. No pedal, just a bit of EQ and Compression from my EBS Sweden Magni 500 amp.
