Buongiorno! This episode I interview the caretaker of the farm where we're renovating the chicken coop and turning it into a little rustic one-bedroom apartment. Egisto has lived on this hill in Tuscany for 81 years and has much to teach me about the history of the farm and the old-fashioned way of life in the countryside in Italy. Spring is almost here so I tried to film the flowering trees and plants that are now in bloom. I believe it is respectful to think about a place's history before starting a renovation or construction project so this is a little tribute to the bygone era and the dolce vita that is slowly disappearing from villas and country farmhouses across Italy. You can find many more videos on my channel about how I learned Italian and moved to Italy.
