If you were around in the 1990s, you are likely aware of the widely-publicized rocky marriage between television star Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee. Tommy Lee was famous for being the drummer and one of the founding members of the band Motley Crue, and he lived a fairly excessive rock and roll lifestyle. He met Pamela Anderson at a supper club on the Sunset Strip in late 1994. Pamela Anderson owned a small part of the club, and sent the rock star over a round of free shots as a courtesy. Tommy took the gesture to heart, and went over and introduced himself to Pamela by grabbing her and licking her face. Pamela was charmed, and gave Tommy her number.

After numerous calls, Tommy talked Pamela into going on a date with him. Notoriously, Tommy spent over $400 on sex toys for the occasion. When it came time for the date to end, Tommy wasn't willing to leave. Within days, the two were married. However, the marriage went on to last for only a few years before the two were driven apart. Pamela Anderson lives successfully and modestly on her own plot of land in Canada, while Tommy Lee is still up to the same shenanigans that he was involved in when the two were married. It appears that, although there were certainly plenty of sparks when the two met, Tommy wasn't willing to grow up with Pamela in the way that she wanted him to after the kids were born. The two married in 1995 and divorced in 1998. They got back together for a short period of time in 2008, but that reunion wasn't meant to last, either.
