Our scripture reading this week tells the story of a women accused of adultery. The Jewish leaders are using the woman’s sin to test Jesus, whether he will support the Law of Moses or the Roman Government. What we learn about the Jewish leadership is how easy it is to lose our humanity when we are determined to prove we are right. What we begin to learn about Jesus is his heart of mercy.
