"Surreal": rock star Lenny Kravitz unveils his Hollywood star

Music icon Lenny Kravitz unveiled his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (March 12).
Fans, family, and friends came out on a sunny Los Angeles day to celebrate the four time Grammy award winner. Actor Zoe Kravitz, Lenny's daughter with actor Lisa Bonet, and Oscar winning actor Denzel Washington took to the stage to share a moment Kravitz called ‘surreal.’
“I feel like I'm dreaming," Kravitz said. "It's like an out-of-body experience. To see this is incredible. And to have the people here, that have been in my life for so long, is incredible."
Kravitz said as a teenager walking the streets of Hollywood he never envisioned having his own star .
Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz attend the unveiling ceremony, Zoë, 35, and her fiancé Tatum, 43, appeared at Lenny's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in Los Angeles. The couple could be seen sitting among celebrity attendees and audience members on Hollywood Boulevard as Lenny, 59, received the Walk of Fame's 2,774th star in front of the Capitol Records building.
Zoë spoke on her father's behalf at Tuesday's star ceremony along with Denzel Washington.
“I never dreamt about having a star. I was usually just looking for a place to crash. But I did dream about making the music I wanted and doing my own thing. To see my name, Lenny Kravitz, permanently engraved on the same streets I used to walk is surreal,” he said.
Zoë and Tatum's appearance Tuesday comes weeks after the couple began debuting behind-the-scenes footage and photos from their upcoming movie Blink Twice, which marks Zoë's directorial debut — and the pair's relationship origin story.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in January 2021, and sources confirmed with PEOPLE that Zoë and Tatum were dating in September 2021. They met when she reached out to the Magic Mike star to cast him in the film, as they both told Deadline that same year.

Kravitz received “Music Icon Award” at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards and is nominated for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He is also set to release a new album entitled 'Blue Electric Light.’
“'Blue Electric Light' is a new beginning. It's a fresh start and the next wave of expression. I'm going around the world and spreading this love and this light,” Kravitz said.
