"Synthetic Love" - #DepecheMode inspired #AImusic generated with #Udio

Since so many of you loved (and hated) the first AI Depeche Mode song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U57R_icuOg) I shared a few days ago, I decided to try and make a second one in Udio. But I'm telling you right now: I failed miserably - so cover your ears!

I've been working on this *&^%$#@! song for 2 days and it's still a pile of???? compared to the first DM song. But since I'd already spent so much time on it, I thought I might as well share the damn thing. Feel free to bludgeon! I can take it!

99% of that time has gone to generating what feels like hundreds of clips to try and get a cohesive well structured song. Udio just seems to have a real problem adding on parts that match the initial clips. It's like with each added part, Udio keeps wanting to reinvent the song! So damn frustrating! Suno on the other hand does a wonderful job with structure, so Udio clearly has some work to do!

Also there are some really weird issues with Udio pacing the lyrics in some spots (especially in the beginning). But since those were the only clips that at least somehow matched the rest of the song, I decided to try and ignore those issues. (but yeah, I know it kind of ruins the experience)

If I have to say something good about it, I do like the synths that start the whole songs - very DM style! And it was such a cool touch that after he sings: "Where every step syncs with my breath" the synths have this soft wooshy echo as if to mimic human breath.

Disclaimer: I mean absolutely no disrespect to Depeche Mode or DM fans. I've been a huge fan of the band since the 80's - have all their albums as vinyls and cds, seen them in concert many times etc. I simply wanted to share the results of what Udio can do because I find AI fascinating. It goes without saying that - nothing - can replace the original band and their talent. Not even AI.
