A Different Mode. Another callback to the 80’s. Yes, this one was definitely inspired by some of my favorite synthpop bands from my youth. Particularly, Depeche Mode (some might even recognize a little bit an homage to Just Can’t Get Enough in there, while still making it my own thing). It has a light, fun, even breezy feel to it, a simple 80’s beat, and almost, almost could have sounded like it actually transported from four decades ago to the present.
