As MTV celebrates its 40th anniversary, host Jerry O'Connell admits he tried to get with Mariah Carey while shooting her 'Heartbreaker' music video that debuted on the network. "I was not on 'Total Request Live,' but I was in one of MTV's biggest stars, Mariah Carey - the songbird herself, I was in her video. They called me the day before it shot, someone must have dropped out." He adds, "Full disclosure, I did shoot my shot with Mariah. I tried to get digits. It did not work out. She's a very nice girl. She let me down easily and softly, but that was not going to happen. But, thank you Mariah for making me a part of MTV history."
