Back in April of 1981, the new band Mötley Crüe got a chance to play at the Starwood in Hollywood, opening for Y&T. Excited about the gig, Nikki Sixx who worked there, managed to convince his boss to let them play two sets. But things got a little rough when someone in the crowd spat on Vince Neil's pants while he was singing. Vince got mad and jumped offstage to confront the person. Nikki joined in, hitting the spitter with his bass guitar. Despite the chaos, the band kept playing and ended up winning over most of the crowd by the end of their performance.
