1989 episode of the PBS music video show, Videospin, featuring videos from the Mekons, Lenny Kravitz, Timbuk 3, and more. Captured off an old VHS tape. Due to copyright claims on previous upload, the audio for the Might Lemon Drops video has been replaced with something that won't get struck, and the BG music for the Rockonomics section has been dropped.

When I was 15 and without cable, this Pittsburgh-based PBS show was one of my few over-the-air options for seeing left-of-center music videos (or any music videos at all). I recorded some of the episodes in order to have immediate access to these songs - and in some cases, outputted the audio from the VCR to my audio tape deck so I could have portable copies of these songs too.

The show can be a little corny, and looking back, some of their takes seem quaint or even less-than-fully-informed. But I have fond memories of this show, and it was the late '80s, who else was even doing this sort of thing? Across various episodes, their choices regularly beat out even early 120 Minutes for variety and obscurity. This episode in particular was my first exposure to the Mekons, and to what became one of my favorite songs. I have a couple of partial and near-full episodes on this VHS tape that I'll upload eventually. Kinda surprised this show doesn't have a slightly greater presence on YouTube...
