Tym razem akcja przenosi nas w czasy II Wojny Światowej, kiedy to Sowieci po zwycięskiej bitwie pod Kurskiem ruszyli na Berlin, w ślad za cofającymi się wojskami niemieckimi.

Gra oferuje dwie kampanie - rosyjską i niemiecką.
Gracz ma okazję wzięcia udziału w jednej z ważniejszych ofensyw sowieckich tego okresu - operacji Bagration, rozpoczętej w 1954 roku na Białorusi.
Zgodnie z tytułem gry, możemy wcielić się w dowódcę rosyjskiego T-34, bądź też niemieckiego Tygrysa.
Kampanie, w których bierzemy udział, podzielone są na szereg misji o nie linearnej strukturze.
Walki toczą się w realistycznych lokacjach - białoruskie krajobrazy zostały wymodelowane na podstawie setek zdjęć i map tych rejonów z początku dwudziestego wieku.

WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger is another tank simulation, after T-72 Balkans on Fire, in which programmers and designers from the IDDK studio took part.
This time the action takes us to the times of World War II, when the Soviets, after the victorious Battle of Kursk, moved towards Berlin, following the retreating German troops.

The game offers two campaigns - Russian and German.
The player has the opportunity to take part in one of the most important Soviet offensives of that period - Operation Bagration, launched in 1954 in Belarus.
According to the game's title, we can play the role of the commander of the Russian T-34 or the German Tiger.
The campaigns in which we take part are divided into a number of missions with a non-linear structure.
The fights take place in realistic locations - Belarusian landscapes were modeled on the basis of hundreds of photos and maps of these regions from the beginning of the twentieth century.
